Pulse of the Patient is a privately owned legal entity. We are not owned by any pharmaceutical or insurance companies, but instead rely on our members of our communities to share relevant clinical, economic, and/or emotional coping information.
We will in turn use this data to help patients, family members, friends, and caregivers as per Pulse's mission statement. Through disease stage, treatment type, or other specific condition-based knowledge-sharing among members, we are able to aggregate the information shared by specific user populations based on the principle of "If I knew then what I know now..." to provide insights to users and help the community consider and anticipate issues that may have potential to improve their quality of life based on the advice of their peers.
Pulse is the sole owner of the information contained in our site and reserves the right to share aggregated data to inform other parties as to patient unmet needs and / or patient-perceived priorities for quality of life and quality of care considerations, consistent with our mission statement, to improve patient quality of life and quality of care. Pulse may disclose any information, including personally identifiable information (PII), that we deem lawful and necessary. At our discretion, we will provide such information to comply with any statute or regulation, governmental agency request, subpoena or any other necessary purpose. However, any data shared with external site members and parties will be carefully presented anonymously to uphold the privacy and confidentiality of our members.
